After becoming a phenomenon in Japanese newspapers and then winning countless fans in the U.K., the simple, numbers-based puzzle game Sudoku comes to North America in the form of this home computer game. Sudoku is played on 9-by-9 grid of 81 squares, some of which contain numerals (but most of which are empty). The object of the game is to fill in all the blank squares such that each row and each column contains each numeral, 1 through 9. Professor Fuji's Sudoku Deluxe includes 100,000 puzzles, in three levels of difficulty. A built-in hint system and a pausable timer add new aspects to the gameplay, but puzzles can also be printed for old-fashioned, pen or pencil solving.
