Available on Blu-ray DVD, 'The Wire' is an HBO series that focuses on multiple departments in the city of Baltimore and their relationships to law enforcement focusing on the illegal drug trade, school system, and news media. The series starts with Detective James McNulty who has been assigned to lead a homicide and narcotics team to bring down a drug kingpin named Avon Barksdale. Meanwhile Barksdale has to deal with law enforcement and competition from another drug dealer, Omar, who has been robbing Barksdale's dealers and reselling the drugs. The supervisor of the investigation, Lieutenant Cedric Daniels, has to deal with his own problems, including corruption and his detectives brutalizing suspects. The boxed set contains 20 DVD discs.
