The battle rages on in the latest installment of this animated space epic. Highly advanced warriors, the Zoids reside on a planet called Zi, on which there is a longstanding battle between the two most powerful nations, the Empire and the Republic. Van Flyheight is a young Zoid who stumbles upon some ancient ruins, befriending their inhabitant, Zeek, who has the power to revive Zoids to achieve their maximum potential. He also makes the acquaintance of Fiona, an ancient Zoidian who has been asleep for centuries and now joins Van on his journey. Van is given the mission to protect the fledgling king who is set to assume the throne after his grandfather's death. This is no easy task, as the evil Prozan, supported by the power of the Deathstar, has vowed to kill him. In the episodes featured in this collection, the war rages on, and recent developments in Zoid technology allow for ever-new battles and encounters in such episodes as "Supersonic Battle," "The Nightmare," and "The Giant Fortress."
