  The item looks exactly as described. However, the holes for the backspaces needed to be counter sunk about 1/16th inch and this new wooden scale had not been counter sunk. Also there is a small spacer upfront near the pivot which also needed a small recessed hole. This hole had not been accounted for. In the wooden scale. I took care of these things as best as I could. Once I installed the ironwood scale , the knife simply did not have acceptable action. So I put the original scale back on.
