  I was expecting the inside to be lined with metal. instead it’s lined with cardboard, which I don’t wanna drink cardboard, so I’ll probably be getting rid of it as I am worried about safety of drinking cardboard

  It is evident that you do not understand what a mate is. You purchased an original gourd mate (it is not made of cardboard). You received exactly what it is. What is unfortunate is that, due to this misunderstanding, my shop now receives a negative rating from someone who did not show the proper courtesy or respect towards the seller. You could have contacted us, and we would have resolved the issue by explaining what you needed.
