Über uns

Beau's Abode is named after my sweet Border Collie Beau. I chose Beau from a litter of about eight adorable puppies when they were only four weeks old. He lived with me from six weeks of age until he passed at 15 years, seven months, and one day. He was the first of many dogs to come, mostly Border Collies and Aussies, all rescues and some as old as 14 when I adopted them. I served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies when I retired from the Air Force and worked as a paralegal for a number of years. I opened my pet sitting business in late 2008 and continue to this day visiting cats and boarding dogs in my home. I have always loved "old things" and prefer to reuse, recycle, and repurpose as much as possible. My store is mostly vintage household items and decor, but I don't limit what I find and resell because if I think someone else would enjoy it and give it a second life, then it's worthwhile.
