  The item works but all supporting things are poor, the software that comes with to program never loads, CHIRP cannot work as the radio and the cable are not the right model per CHIRP software. I just packed it back up and put it away, I hand programmed just like the 7900 model and it does not work. Simplex is fine but repeaters is a no go. I had high hopes for this but the reviews were right, a difficult initial to work with…
