Hi + welcome to happy crab imports and exports. formerly arts + crafts collide. i recently decided to focus solely on the arts and lessen the collide aspects.

so this is now a singular venture. just me. the business goal is to source premium Japanese artistic works on paper and offer these at less than gallery prices. the simple truth is these prints are in my blood - and finding a way to meet others who share this same energy/curse brings rewards far beyond expectations.

more simple truths!!!

i source almost all the prints from japan.
i tend to purchase prints created from 1930 through 1980s - the contemporary artists in japan are phenomenal but the price points are quite high
i am very good at shipping - (see customer ratings and comments) - while shipping costs have risen, you are acquiring art not a seat on an airplane
i enjoy interacting with clients. think of this as a coffee shop attached with "spiegel im spiegel" (arvo part) playing while you visit + chat.

    Great works of art for affordable cost. Prints were exactly what I hoped and even more impressive in person. Chas gave me a gift as well. The packing was carefully floated in between foam core which could also be used as a backer when mounting in a frame. The shipping was very fast and the postal worker had me sign for it. I felt a personal connection with this seller as he was not just about business but also willing to give his expert advice on books and authors.

    Finally received my package! Nothing to do with the seller and all to do w/USPS (they are the worst!), packaging was perfect, items received in pristine condition. Print is just as described and the colors are more stunning in person, absolutely beautiful! Seller is very attentive and accommodating. Easy to get ahold of should questions pop up. Highly recommend, will definitely purchase again from this shop. 😊
