It is all metal and powder coated, It needed 4 screws to put together. The base needed 5 wheels which needed just hand pressure to attach to base. Chair is very functional. This chair is very well made. It is not a Steelcase or Herman Miller quality. But just over $200.00 it is a steal. Clatina chairs are Chinese Imports. I assume they show the cost .of the Tariffs I paid.
