  New, and with a good price:toughness ratio. I use these often, have a couple of pairs, and they keep me warm. The length of the gloves is a massive plus during winter, because most jackets' cuffs are hit or miss with shorter ones. It actually is leather, looks the part, and will certainly help either at the farm, on hiking trips, or as simple fashion. Good buy, and glad I could find them again.
