Freedonia has been in the antiques, collectibles, and book business in Mid-Coast Maine for 50 years, until recently with a store in Wiscasset, Water Street Antiques and Books. We have been sellers on eBay since 1998, most recently along with our companion stores waterstreettribal and ilovebruceandicecream. Our inventory encompasses a wide variety of interests, everything from antiquities to art to toys, with books being our primary focus on this site.     It was not 18th century. It is a modern reproduction. From acrylic colors to paper to tea stained paper made to look aged. Classic failure on my part not to have asked for close ups and reverse and backlit photos. Seller quickly accepted a return. (eBay is amazing protection for honest buyers). Item didn’t match description. Should be marked as modern reproduction for sale.

    Seller clearly misrepresented item. It was missing a piece which was not denoted in pictures or in description. I messaged seller about the issue. He said he would try to correct the issue. We settled on a partial refund (which wouldn’t cover replacing the missing piece). Towards the end of the conversation, he was being pretty condescending and backhanded about this issue. He said he wasn’t an expert on this light and I told him ignorance is not an excuse to misrepresent an item. Major waste
