The gift recipient took a photo of the damaged item which was sent to the seller & then threw away the pieces. I was unable to negotiate any amount of a refund from the seller due to the seller insisting that the pieces be sent back, though I did explain why that wasn't possible. I had no luck contacting a customer service agent at Ebay to intervene. I'm very disappointed, as I've had 15+ years of positive buying experiences with Ebay.
