Kokomo was an fun, funky ricks and mortar shop with many iterations. The original one opened in the IMP Building in Osaka Business Park in March 1990 and was in business there for 13 years. It spawned a wholesale business that supplied shops with similar themes all over Japan for many years. It closed in 2003 at the peak of the long, post-bubble recession but is still around in the form of an online catalog.
