  Tested this unit against my $1200 genuine Ashley 4.8. It tested the same. I don’t know how long it will hold up but if it stays working, it looks like it’s a winner, especially for the price.

  First, it's odd to have an SMA connector on an amp like this. Output should be an N not PL-259. Amplifier performs well. At 5.04w drive it shows 68w out unmodulated FM, but this is on battery power and will likely improve with more stable power. SSB works fine, spectrum identical with exciter, no spurs noted. Data modes all work well. NO BYPASS IN T/R CIRCUIT, so amp must be powered on whenever radio is on, only bypass switches could help here. Great bargain at this price. Well made.

  So far the item is working correctly unfortunately there is no factory warranty on this piece. But for the price difference, I decided to roll the dice.
