  The size sold as "17 inch" just barely fit my 265/70R17 tires (32in in total diameter, about 10.5in wide tread). But that is what I expected, and for a PVC cover, it is better to be snug than baggy. Only one problem: there is a staple inside the cover that connects the elastic. That staple was not properly closed and punched through the cover and cut my thumb when I was installing the cover on the tire. I had to use needle-nosed pliers to bend the staple back into the proper shape. It works now
