  The game is in good condition and came with a new battery. I opened it up and cleaned the cartridge but barely anything came up so the game was probably already cleaned before it was sent out. It was expensive for a pokemon game but I was willing to spend the extra money to be sure it was authentic and in good condition, so I'd say it was worth it!
