In 1981 Mr Masey sold his entire diecast toy collection of Regular Wheel Matchbox and similar vintage diecast of the same size of the 1950s and 1960s. To have a lot of cash at the age of 18 meant only one thing, going to nightclubs and drinking. Soon the money was all gone!Fast forward to 2003 and Mr Masey experienced a moment of utter guilt and loss at selling his beloved toys and drinking all the profits. So he referred back to the catalogue of the toys he had so lovingly kept and he decided to try and collect all the models all over again. The problem was that they had increased ten-fold in value and he didn't have that kind of cash.Mr Masey spent many days and many hours tracking down British vintage diecast toys all around the UK and slowly the collection started to build again. But buying job lots of diecast toys just for one or two items meant there were many toys left over which were not needed for the collection. And maseytoys was born; shipping diecast toys worldwide.
