  These are really neat as they were created for the working people of Honolulu. This are bus tokens used to ride the bus. They are marked 1924 so they have some age but in really good shape. I asked my mother, who is 101 and still living in Honolulu, about them and she remembers using them as a kid she then started crying because she said it brought back many memories. It has been a pleasure going over these tokens but I’m afraid it’s time to get back to coins. Thanks to everyone.

In 1985 it was the 100 year anniversary of the first Japanese who came over aboard the S.S. City of Tokio. The centennial coin was minted at the Hawaiian mint in Honolulu.
