My name is Capt Cory J Mitchell Sr I was introduced to Hunting and commercial fishing at the young age of 5.
In 2007 I was diagnosed with testicular Cancer; During chemotherapy, I wasn't sure where my life was headed so I sat in my shop which I have for many years made custom jewelry and it suddenly hit me the idea of combining the eagle claw hat Hook with a sport fish together. With the undying support of my wife Barbara through chemo I started to do the first designs out of Sterling Silver and brass. We have constantly evolved the mass production process of The Hookits© to the point of perfection when we changed to manufacturing out of pewter in 2015. This product is my tribute to my father, brother, wife, and sons and their influence over my life to share with everyone who has ever had an incredible day of fishing or hunting with a beloved friend or family member. I have always considered it a great privilege to create a quality piece of jewelry to serve as a symbol of remembrance.
