  It'd be silly to buy these so cheap and expect it to work straight out of the box. Added some nylon washers between one of the arms to get the tips to touch and not wobble and a sharpen to points and it's great for it's price. If ya want something that works from the get go there the bahco tongs out there. The coating is chipable paint but should be fine, it's only die cut soft steel.
