Betsy is the brains and the driving force behind REAL OLD FOLKS, I’m Lloyd, volunteered helper, and mostly insignificant other for the past 6+ decades. Sales were really slowing down, then last fall at a local craft show and someone recalled that Betsy once had a Ceramic shop and asked if she would make some Christmas Trees. In the famous words of Ronald Regan, ‘THERE YOU GO AGAIN’, the shop had been closed for years and everything was in storage awaiting that day when ‘CERAMICS WILL RISE AGAIN”. I had been retired for 20 years and was very happy to let ‘sleeping dogs’ lie but, to make a long story short, we pulled out the molds, set up a kiln and she was happy as a lark. I listed several of her trees and they were sold fast, So the REAL OLD FOLKS are getting older but ‘NEVER GIVING UP’, Now there are Quilts and Plastic Bag Holders, African Violet Pots of all sizes and shapes, and Oh yes-Christmas trees and Lord only knows what she will come up with next.     The initial tree arrived fractured. When I contacted the seller with what happened and pictures to show, she promptly initiated a replacement. This is by far one of the BEST vendors and excellent at communicating. The package was done properly (and far better than most people pack items of this caliber), however, the postal carriers failed to carry the package to the destination with tender loving care.
