Japanese Mizunara is popular as a prestigious wood used in the barrels of Yamazaki whiskey, known worldwide. The reason we use Mizunara is that we want many people around the world to know about its unique appeal. This is especially important because Japan is facing a serious issue with a disease called "Nara-kare," which affects oak trees.
