Ski Trucks began in 1969 with humble roots and a bold vision. Founded by college student Jeff White, the business started from the back of a 1956 Chevy pickup named “Hoopty.” Jeff sold used rental skis to fellow students in Provo, Utah, and what began as a side gig to support his young family grew into a lifelong career.
Jeff, raised in rural Colorado, loved the outdoors and built Ski Trucks to reflect his passion. Over the years, the business evolved—from selling gear out of semi-trailers to a 25,000-square-foot warehouse. Jeff’s generosity and drive helped countless families afford winter adventures. He passed away in 2020, leaving behind a cherished legacy.
Today, Jeff’s son Monte, Zoe, and their extended family run Ski Trucks with the same heart. Monte has modernized the business while staying true to his father’s mission: making outdoor adventures affordable and accessible. Ski Trucks remains committed to affordability, sustainability, and community for generations.
