I grew up as a 90's kid, so by default you can assume I was all into Pokemon.. I kept a red binder (4x4 with Pikachu) and continually stored all of my base set first edition/shadowless cards in it... From 1996-2001 I kept that binder, until I met a kid who was less fortunate than I was... He showed me his collection which was rather meek and trampled... Something inside of me flickered, and I decided to hand him my red binder at no cost... I wanted him to have that collection... In hindsight, that decision was made out of pity. Emotions can ruin some of the best financial opportunities of your life, if YOU allow it. The moral of the story: That kids parents took that binder and sold every single card... I lost a legendary collection and gave the kid false hope, only to further empower corruption.... If you want to excel in this life, you must put base emotions like guilt or sorrow aside when making decisions. My actions did not change the outcome of his life. Play life like chess...
