  This plate will be a serving dish to accompany a pair of the same pattern's dinner plates that I enjoy when I make traditional comfort food favorites. The plate was packed like a large retailer would have handled it and arrived in pristine condition. This time of the year, shipping is complicated by temperature extremes - especially for stoneware. Upon seeing the lovely plate, I was glad the seller displayed good photos to help me with my decision to buy it. Excellent value and great quality.
