The 70'd thru the early 90's...was a great time in toys. Star Wars, GI Joe and others were so hot when I was a buyer in the toy industry. That was back when Toy Fair was walking into a hall, picking out the vendors you wanted to see, and just walk into their room. Being handed a vendor catalog, and directed to a chair to hear the latest about their new toys. With the advent Of Star Wars..the Kenner room was the one you wanted to be in. Star Wars, GI Joe, Care Bears and so much more. The influence of George Lucas and his openess to sell the toys moved the toy business so far more. At one show, I asked the Kenner rep why the figures packed 48 to a case and he said that George wanted the figures out to sell to kids. Pack the stores with Star Wars toys and they did...Today it is a different world, where the accountants control the release more than the manufacturers. I have collected toys over my career and am selling my collection over time here on ebay. Checkback periodically...
