Most modern boots use leather which is water resistant but even adding dubbin and sprays will never make them fully waterproof. To make boots waterproof manufacturers add a gore-tex lining which makes their boots 100% waterproof. If you would like to swap these boots for a different make with a waterproof gore-tex lining I am more than happy to exchange them at no extra cost to you The Bootking
