Über uns
I'm a jewelry designer, and I have been in the wholesale business for 32 years. I went to Bali in 1989, and found that the silversmiths in Bali, are trained from birth to make the finest handcrafted bezel settings in the world. Each and every stone is captured by a handmade sterling silver bezel. The bezels are built to accomodate each and every unique stone, to hold the stone in place for a very long time. Bezels hold the stone by mechanically putting pressure on all sides of the stone. It is a handmade process, unlike castings ,used in India, Thailand, China, and Mexico which are made cheaply in great quantity by machines. The only handiwork in use of castings is polishing the silver, and grinding the stones edge to fit the same size casting for all different stones, and then gluing the stone into the casting. No matter how strong the glue, heat and humidity always weaken the bond and in a short time, the stone can fall out, especially when a simple bezel wire is glued to the stone.

In mint condition and it is a very affordable piece for the collection. The color of the gold is the vintage kind, very shiny and subtle. Not overwhelmingly yellow but rather muted, almost rose gold.
