Cameras Leather Hand Grip Wrist Strap for Canon Nikon Sony Pentax Olympus DSLR

It broke clean off. Thankfully my camera survived.
Here's the problem, you'll probably buy it because of the overwhelming 5-star reviews and super cheap price like I did. For $7 it's quite a steal, free shipping, and peace of mind that my camera won't slip out of your hand? You can continue telling yourself, after months and months of use, that it's a solid product just because it hasn't broken yet, just because you haven't reached the day when it inevitably will. Well the connector at the bottom is unfortunately very thin plastic, though the rest of the product seems much more sturdy. When the nylon strap broke away from the plastic anchor at the bottom, it was actually while I wasn't applying any force to it. Just kinda... popped off. The camera is fine and the lens is fine, luckily I have a good grip in the first place.
Buying this strap should not be enough peace of mind for you after my experience. If you want a strap, buy one of the Nikon or Canon products that's got a lot more product design expertise behind it. I imagine you get what you pay for, even if it's a little extra.
