Nice shades and soft to the touch.
The ombre shades complement each other and create interesting variations of shade to plain knit garments. The yarn is soft and smooth to the touch and has a slight sheen. It is a wool blend which makes the item warmer to wear.

Interesting Guide with all the details and photographs needed for research.
I visited Lyme Park this Summer but didn't purchase a Guide due to cost really. We had paid a substantial fee to visit. This Guide is from 1998 but had all the essential information that would not change for a place of this age and history. I really enjoyed looking through and being refreshed on many of the facts we picked up on our visit. Lyme Park is very significant in that it was used for some of the most famous outdoor scenes in 'Pride and Prejudice' (1996) with Colin Firth. I always understood that Chatsworth House in Derbyshire was the filming venue for those scenes and only learned of this additional venue that weekend. Lyme Park was a much loved home to an aristocratic family who were bitterly opposed to leaving but had to for a number of financial reasons I believe. I think if they came back, there is still a lot they could do to bring it back to an even nicer place to visit. I think the Guide could be made more interesting if it potrayed a softer side to Lyme Park. It was full of cold, clear facts but never mentioned the famous TV programme that finally really puts it on the map or the pain that the family went through in having to virtually abandon the property for the National Trust to take over.

Technically pleasing, humorous - a complete delight to own.
A relative of mine is a Vet and we were told that the character was based on him. I have been collecting things since then but one of the books does have an inscription saying inspiration came from elsewhere. The 'Fetch The Vet' DVD was a real breakthrough. It is absolutely delightful and funny - if only all farms were as clean as those in the opening scene of the DVD! I haven't watched all of it but I was instantly pleased with the colour and technical quality of the film. It cheered me up and should please adults and children alike. It also demonstrates a kindness between strangers that might not be so apparent in today's society - a bit like the farm scenes.
